On Flag Day, Gallego Backs Bill to Ensure American Flags Are Made in America
WASHINGTON – On Flag Day, Senator Gallego (D-AZ) announced his support for the bipartisan Make American Flags in America Act of 2025. This bill would close loopholes in existing law to ensure that American flags displayed on federal property or purchased by federal agencies are manufactured completely in the United States from American materials. “Flying the American flag is an act of patriotism, and it should be backed by American jobs and American materials,” said Senator Gallego. “It’s just common sense that our government should only buy flags made in the US.
