Buying a home feels impossible for a lot of Americans right now. The average first-time homebuyer is nearly 40 years old, and even middle-class families are struggling to afford a house.

That’s why I’m proud the Senate passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.

This bill tackles the housing shortage by expanding the supply of homes, modernizing financing tools, supporting manufactured housing, improving the appraisal process, and making it easier for veterans to access housing support.

For me, this issue is personal. I still remember helping my mom buy our first home before I left for college. It wasn’t a big house, but it meant stability and a real shot at the American dream.

In this video, I break down what’s inside the Road to Housing Act, including several bipartisan bills I worked on and how they will help more Americans afford a home.

We still have more work to do. Next, we’re tackling housing financing, down payments, and making it easier for middle-class families to buy their first home.

Arizonans and Americans deserve a real path to homeownership. I’ll keep fighting to make it happen.

Twelve days ago, Donald Trump took the United States to war with Iran. Since then, seven American service members have been killed and more than 140 have been wounded.

Instead of protecting our troops, this administration is making decisions that put them in even greater danger. Oil prices have spiked, American families are paying more at the pump, and the White House is backing off sanctions on Russian oil while Russia shares intelligence with Iran.

I know what happens when leaders start wars without a plan. I lived it. I served as a Marine infantryman in Iraq, where every day someone was trying to kill us and where I lost friends who never came home.

The people who pay for wars are never the politicians who start them. It’s the American people, the kids from working class neighborhoods who serve and the families waiting for them to come home.

That’s why I’m demanding accountability and pushing to stop this war before more Americans pay the price.

I served in Iraq as a Marine, and what’s happening right now feels painfully familiar.

I’ve seen what happens when America gets pulled into a war without clear goals, without an endgame, and without a real plan. The cost isn’t paid by politicians in Washington. It’s paid by the men and women in uniform and by their families for the rest of their lives.

In these remarks in Montana, I talk about my own story growing up poor, serving in combat, and why I believe our country is at a crossroads right now.

I also talk about the America I still believe in. A country where working families can get ahead, where hard work actually pays off, and where we don’t give up on each other.

If we organize, show up, and fight for it, we can still build that country together.

I served in Iraq, and the conversations happening right now bring back a lot of memories.

Living with PTSD means weeks like this aren’t easy. I think about the men I served with, my friends, my best friends, and the ones who never made it home.

What worries me most is that we might be making the same mistakes that sent many of us to war in 2005. When leaders can’t clearly explain what victory looks like, it raises serious questions about how this conflict ends and how long America could be involved.

We owe it to the people who served, and to the families who sacrificed, to ask those questions before history repeats itself.
