LAVEEN — Today, Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) joined Arizonans at Cesar Chavez Park for the 73rd Annual Laveen BBQ. “This is what being an Arizonan is all about – coming together with family and friends to celebrate the rich diversity our community offers,” said Senator Gallego. “Thank you to the Laveen Community Council for putting this valued event on year after year.” Since 1952, the 100% community-run event has brought residents, neighbors, and families together for a day of food, games, and live music while supporting local small businesses across the state.
